Whereas Edward Thorneton was prest in the gor Townshipp of Burscough fir the service of Ireland & now being forced to leaue behind him a yonge Child not fower years of age; & his wife dead. Therefore I desire yt you would be pleased to releiue the Child from this bearer Sisceley Haworth, & att ye Charges of ye s[ai]d gor Town[shi]pp to p[ro]vide & allowe sufficient maintenance for bringing of it vpp: w[hi]ch is soe necessarie & Charitable an Acte & your bound in Conscience to p[er]forme noe more but yt I am
