The certificate for Samuell Kennerley of Tabley, Cheshire, 9 October 1649

To the Tre[asu]r[er]s for prisoners and maymed souldiers within the County [several illegible words] hundred of Northwiche.

Wheras Randle Kennerley of Tabley (one of Col[one]l Croxtons souldiers) was slayne in the Parliament service at Lee bridge and left one Samuell Kennerley a poore infant behynd him and nothing to menteyne him on, where vpon the pr[e]ferringe of his petic[i]on to the bench at Namptw[i]ch sessions had Ten shillings p[er] Ann[um] allowed him Theise are therefore to desire yow to insert his name amoungst the maymed souldiers widows and orphanes that are in yo[u]r list, and to pay him the sayd summe of Ten shillings yearely ordered him by sessions [several illegible words] and this shal bee your warrant.

Given vnder our hands this 9th day of October 1649.
