<Denbigh s[ession]s> To the Right wor[shipfu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of Peace in the Countie aforesaid.

These are to certifie that Samuel Edwards of Wrexham in the s[ai]d {co}untie (the bearer hereof) was a foote soldier vnder my {co}man{d} and that hee is truly loyall, very poore & Indigent, and hath never to the best of my knowledge or information, deserted his ma[jes]t[y]s or his blessed fathers service dureing the tymes of Rebellion and usurpac[i]on and that hee hath not since his ma[jes]ties Returne obtained any reward or ymploym[en]t sufficient for a livelihood; Wherefore I doe pr[e]sume hereby to recommend him as a p[er]son fitt to receive such an yearly pention out of the p[ro]vision by his M[ajes]t[y]s lawes made and p[ro]vided for maiemed and indigent soldiers; as your wor[shi]ps shall thinke fitt; Given vnd[e]r my hand & seale the 16th day of Aprill An[n]o R[egni]R[egis] Dom[ini] Caroli S[e]c[un]d[i] dei grac Anliae &c xvio Anoq dom[ini] 1664.
