Theis may Certifie &c

That Roger Ranikers of Leigh in ye County of Lanc[aste]r Tayler hath served his late Ma[jes]ty King Charles ye first of happy memory; as a private soldier vnd[e]r ye Comand of S[i]r Henry Slater for seu[e]rall years together; And that hee neu[er] deserted ye said Service, But hath remained Constant eu[er] since without alterac[i]on (as I am informed) Wherefore I comend him as a fitt person to participate of yt Money given by Act of Parliam[en]t to ye poore Maymed Soldiers &c Witnes my hand
