Upon my comeing here last night I found my mother very ill & her distempers still continuing, w[hi]ch occasions my absence this day, otherwise I had waited vpon you & should there haue moued you in the behalfe of this bearer Rob[er]t White a soldier formerly vnder my com[m]and & wounded in ye seruice ag[ains]t Portland Castle; yt he may haue a pension according to ye ordinance; he hath much suffered by want already & if not now releiued like totally to perish, yo[u]r charity to him will much oblidg
