This is to Certefy whom it may Concern that Robert Lucas of Charlton in the Parish of King Sutton the bearer hereof did serue his late Majesty King Charls the first in his wars under Colonell Gerard, now Lord Gerard, as by reason of his family is poore & indigent, & therefore capable of the Pension allowed in yt case.
