The certificate for Robert Evans of Llansannan, Denbighshire, 20 September 1666

To ye kings Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of ye peace of ye County of Denbigh
These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]ps. That the bearer hereof Rob[er]t Evans late of Llansanan did truely & faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles ye first of blessed memory in the late vnhappy warres as a souldier in my Regim[en]t & in myne owne Company in w[hi]ch s[ai]d service he rec[eive]d seu[er]all wounds & bruises, by reason whereof his health is much impaired & his estate decayed, & that he is not now {ab}le to maintayne himselfe his wife & two small children, & further that he hath not deserted ye s[ai]d service but continued all along firme & loyall to ye Royall cause as wittnesse my hand ye xxth 7ber 1666.

Ordered that the w[i]thin named Rob[er]t Evans of Llansannan doe receaue at the next quarter the penc[i]on of Ricus Fulke of Llansannan deceased being v s. quarterly.
