To ye right wor[shipfu]ll S[i]r Richard Wynne & S[i]r Jo[h]n Salusbury Barr[one]t & ye Rest of ye kings Ma[jesty]s Justices of ye peace assembled att the Quarter Sess[ion]s held att Denbigh ye tenth day of Janu[ar]ii 1664

These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]ps That Robert David of Llanvaire hath verie faithfully served his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles ye first of famous memorie in the late vnhappie warres in the regiment of Colonell W[illia]m Wyne vnder my Comaund & after his death in the regiment of Colonell Ellis vnder ye Comaund of Major Hugh Wynne, in w[hi]ch s[ai]d s[e]rvice he receaued seu[er]all wounds & bruises whereby he is disabled in body for worke, And that he hath continued faithfull to his trust & not deserted the same, by takeing vp armes against ye late king, or ye king that now is, In testimony of ye true contents hereof I have herevnto subscribed my hand this 7th day of Janu[ary] 1664.
