The order for Robert Coller of Kington Langley, Wiltshire, 2 January 1660

Att the gen[er]all quarter Sessions of the publique peace of the county aforesayd holden att Marlebrough the fowerth day of October 1659
Forasmuch as yt appeareth to this Court as well by the humble petic[i]on of Rob[er]t Coller of Keintons Langly in this county as alsoe by a certificate vnder the hand of Captaine Thomas Sadler that he served the p[ar]li[a]m[en]t twoe yeares in the late warres vnder the comand of Collonell Edmond Ludlowe, in which service he received severall wounds whereby he is disinabled from his labour as formerly This Court doth therefore desire the Justices of the peace of that division or any twoe of them, to examine the busines & to allowe vnto the s[ai]d Rob[er]t Coller such releiffe as they shall thinke fitt,

Wee haue according to the Contents of the Order aboue written examined the ability of the abouesaid Robert Coller as to the obteyninge of his ability liuelihood and do find him to bee much weakned in his body for the p[er]formance of his Calling being a Carpenter & hath a great Charge of Children and therefore conceiue that itt is fitt to allowe vnto him Twenty shillings a quarter to com[m]ence from the date of the s[ai]d pr[e]sente Order and humbly leave itt to the approbations of the Justices of the Peace att the next Quarter Sessions w[hi]ch shal be held for this Countie Given vnder o[u]r hands att o[u]r meetinge in Chipenam the second of January One thousand six hundred fifty and nyne
