To ye wo[rshipf]ull the kings Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of the peace sitteing att this p[rese]nte Quarter sess[ion]s for the County of Denbigh

These are to certify yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps That Robert ap W[illia]m Bevan of Llangernew hath served his late Ma[jes]tie king Charles ye first of famous memory as a souldier first vnder the Comaund of Capt[ain] Rob[er]t Broughton in Scotland & afterwards in the same s[er]vice vnder ye Comaund of Capt[ain] Rob[er]t Daniell in the Regim[en]t of S[i]r Charles Bavis & alsoe in Ireland vnder the Comaund of Major Warendin in the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l Munke now Duke of Albermarle & lastly vnder my Comaund in the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l Hugh Wyne, in w[hi]ch s[ai]d services he hath receaued seu[er]all wounds & bruises whereby hee is disabled in body to earne his liveing by his labour, And that hee is destitute of subsistance haveing bine faithfull to his trust & not des[e]rted the same by taking vp armes ag[ains]t ye late king or his Ma[jes]tie that now is and receiued rece And that he hath not as yet receaued any reward or recompence for the same. In testimony whereof I have herevnto putt my hand this 6th day of July 1665.
