Wee whose names are hearevnto subscribed and most of vs to o[u]r personall knowledge & the rest by Certaine informac[i]on Certifie all men whome theese pr[e]sents shall & may in any wise Concerne. That Richard Roberts of the Towne & County of Denbigh corwider hath for many yeares togeither liued & inhabited w[i]thin the said Towne in good esteem, & honest reputac[i]on And by his hard industry & sweat of his browes hath maintayned himself, his wife & children w[i]thout being trowblesome or chardgeable to any. And w[i]thall hath by reason of his affection & good service to his late Ma[jes]tie suffred much losse & prejudice in his estate dureing ye late Warrs & distractions And hath bynn wounded at seuerall tymes in his Ma[jes]ties service vnder seu[e]rall Comands. langwishing at Chirurgery, And as yet vncapable to followe his occupac[i]on wherby to releeue himself his wife & children. All w[hi]ch we testifie as aboue writtene. Dated at Denbigh 28th Aprill 1663.
