To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll the kings Ma[jes]ties Justices of Peace of the said Coun[t]y.

These are to certifie that Richard Powell of Boras in the said County was a foote solider in my Colonel, Colonel Robinsons one company in his late Ma[jes]t[y]s service and that hee is truly loyall & indigent, and that hee neu[er] to the best of my knowlege or informac[i]on deserted his Ma[jes]t[y]s or his blessed fathers service dureing the late tyme of Rebellion & vsurpac[i]on and that he hath not a sufficient livelyhood of his owne; wherefore I doe hereby recom[m]end him as a p[er]son fitt to receive an yearely pention out of the treasurie of this County; witnes my hand & seale the vith day of Octob[er] An[n]o R[egni] Dom[ini] n[ost]ri Caroli s[e]c[un]di dei grac[ia] Anglie &c xvo, 1663.
