The certificate for Richard Peedle of King’s Sutton, Northamptonshire, 20 September 1668

To the Right Worshipfull the Justices of the peace for this County of North[amp]ton[shire] &c
Wee whose names are here subscribed doe testyfie yt Richard Peedle of our s[ai]d towne hath beene a true and faythfull servant for seuerall yeares in his Late Ma[je]sties service vnder the com[m]and of Captaine Polton and therein haueing received severall wounds beinge of the Age about three score and darke in sight not able to worke or to helpe himselfe or his famyly w[hi]ch beinge greate humbly beseecheth yo[u]r Wor[ship]s to com[m]iserate his sad and weake condition and therevpon he leaveth himselfe to your Worships goodnesse & considerac[i]on, & soe he further prayeth &c dated the 20th day of September 1668

Vpon w[ha]t informac[i]on wee haue rec[eive]d concerneing the person within named we doe judge him Indigent and capable euery {w}ay of a penc[i]on.
