my desier to you at present is: that you would be pleased to take notise of this poore man Richard Jacobe: who petitione[d] the bench the Last Sessions at Sarum: as a m[a]imed Souldier: and made it to apeare by those officers vnder whome hee serued of his faythfullnes to the state: that hee was thought worthy of a pention out of this County Stock: but hee haueing noe certificat from that place wher hee first tooke vp Armes it could not Justly be then setled one him: but somthing was then Giuen him for the present nesesity and the busines referrd to this Sessions: S[i]r my humble desier one this poore mans behalf is that you would be pleased to premote his humble adresse to the bench as that according to his demerritt and his present Sade Condition which to my owne knowledg is to be pitied som thing of yearly mayntinance may be setled one him which Lawfull fauour of yo[ur]s will further oblidge him who is
