Wee whose names are subscribed doe Certify that Richard Evans an inhabitant w[i]thin the Township of Pulford beeinge a soldier vnd[e]r the Comand of one Capteyne Sutton in Colonells Brook Regim[en]t did at the leaguer before Chester as wee are informed receaue a shott in the legg whereby wee doe well knowe hee is very much disabled to gett [two illegible words] a livelyhood by his worke and that hee was before hee receaued the said shott A very paynefull and labourious All which wee wee [sic.] [illegible] thought good to certify yo[u]r wors[h]ips referringe the same to yo[u]r grave consi[e]racions & rest.
