To the wright [sic.] Worshipfull Justices of the Pece in the County Paletine [of] Chester
Will yow bee plesed for gods cause to take into yo[u]r considerac[i]on the said [sic.] and miserable condic[i]on that two of my Souldiers Raph Wilkinson and Thomas Moss are in who adventured themselues selues [sic.] vpon this late desine against the Scotts as for the said Raph hee hath his bones so brused and doe soe com forth that by all possibility hee is never likely to bee a man able to worke for his liueing as formerly hee hath done his wif and Children are like to bee in greate want vnless yow bee pleased to looke w[i]th a pityfull compassion vppon him and them
Further more will yow bee pleased to take into yo[u]r considerac[i]on in the allowing in the meaintenance vnto Mr Yates the Chirurgion for hee hath bin very carefull both w[i]th Raph Wilkinson and Thomas Moss other waise the[y] haue bin in greate daunger to haue bine lost men
