Wee whose names are herevnto subscribed doe humbly certifie that the bearer hereof Nicholas Randell of Eason serued his late Maiesty of euer blessed memory In the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l Gadolphin And vnder the comaund of Maior Trenway for the terme of nere about 4 years And behaued himselfe faithfully & valiently And that in that seruice hee receiued seuerall wounds As in his petic[i]on is menc[i]oned And wee further Certifie that hee is a very poore man And not able to releeue himselfe his wife & family, w[i]thout some Charitable assistance, w[hi]ch wee humbly recom[m]end to this hono[u]r[a]ble & worsh[i]p[fu]ll Bench And subscribe o[u]r selfes
