To the worshipfull his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace at the gen[er]all quarter Sessions held at Arundell for the Western p[ar]te of the s[ai]d County of Sussex this 14th day of January Anno d[o]m[ini] 1695

Wee whose names are herevnto subscribed doe certifie as followeth That whereas Nicholas Palmer an Inhabitant of Petworth in the s[ai]d County of Sussex was formerly a soldier in the Army vnder King Charles the first of blessed memory being now a pensioner for the charitable vse mony receiveing from thence foure pounds p[er] Ann[um] he is now become impotent his labor being done Ande is fourscore yeares old and vpwards as a further object of yo[u]r charity humbly prays an addic[i]on to his pension.
