Wee having knowledge of the bearer Nicholas Amery, and his sad condic[i]on by reason of his great and continued chardge vpon his wounds and inability of bodye to labour for a livelyehood by the greivance thereof, make bould on his behalfe, and at his request, to certifie the same judging hym a verry meet object of your pity and releife, in what way yow judge most meet and crave your consid[e]rac[i]on of his humble request, w[hi]ch p[er] his petition (This day to bee preferred & him to your selves and The rest of the Justices of the peace) will appeare To w[hi]ch wee referr yow who are
