To ye R[ight]t wor[shipfu]ll ye Justices of the peace for the County of Denbigh.

These are to certifie you that ye bearer hereof Morgan Evans of Abergeley hath very faithfully served his late Ma[jes]ty Kyng Charles ye first of blessed memory in the late vnhappy warres vnder my Com[m]and (in ye Regim[en]t of Colonell Villers) in w[hi]ch service he hath much impaired his health, & is not now able to get his living, but by the benevolence of charitable people, and that he hath ever since continued very faithfull & loyall to ye Royall cause as witnesse my hand this 22th of Aprill 1663
