The certificate for Michael Cook of Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, 28 September 1662

These are to certifie that the bearer hereof Michael Cook was a souldier in Captaine Curres Troope of horse in the Regiment of Collonoll [sic.] Mannings and in the Troope of Captane John Hall in the Regiment of Charles Fincher Collonoll For the space of three yeare and vpward & since dureing all the time of the late rebellion and vsurpation in which hee behaued himselfe faithfully honestly & stoutly haueing never since the end of the Warre deserted his Ma[jes]ties or his blessed Fathers Cause or Interest But hath been alwayes ready vpon occasions to act of his ma[jes]ties happue restauration, to ye best of my knowledge giuen vnder my hand the 28th day of September in the fourteenth yeere of the raigne of o[u]r most Gratious Soveraigne Lord King Charles the second Annoq[ue] Dom[ini] 1662
