These are to Certifie that John Burton served vnder my Command as Major to a Regiment of Horse in my Bragade from the Sixth day of Aprill 1644 in Actuall Service vntill the Seventh day of September followinge Att which tyme he was Slaine. And duringe that tyme hath receved in p[ar]te of his pay the som[m]e of Sixty Seven pownds and noe more
