I being formerly Coro{net} {illegible} of his Troope doe Certifie {illegible} March w[i]thin the Isle aforesaid was a Souldier und{er} {illegible} Welby in his troope; And therein so long as that troop continued together behaued himself, loyall, valiant faithfull and diligent in his duty, And after that Troope was taken the said Martyn Bingham being a prisoner to the then Rebells made his Escape from them, and returned againe into his late Ma[jes]ties service, and served as a Trooper under Major General Eyre.
