The certificate for Margarett Jones of Llanddoged, Denbighshire, 10 January 1670

To the right Wor[shi]pp[fu]ll the Justices of the peace for the County of Denbigh to whome these pr[e]sents shall come.

Wee the Rector & Churchwardens of the parish of Llanddogett vpon the humble request of Margarett Jones vid[ua] doe hereby make bould to certifie yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps that vpon Fryday the tenth day of December last, Ellis Owen the husband of the sayd Margarett Jones vid[ua] departed this world; who was one of the maymed souldiers elected and appointed to haue quarterly paym[en]t of the mise therevnto belonging.

May it please yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps in regard the sayd deceased died soe poore that he had not wherewith to pay for his winding sheet; much lesse to leaue his wife and daughter, which is lame & impotent from her natiuitie) with the eyes of compassion to behould this sad bearrer & to graunt the [sic.] shee may receaue this last quarterly mise towards the paying of her debts & maintaining of her poore lame childe, & the bearer shall euer pray & wee euer rest yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps servants
