These are to certifie That the bearer hereof John Williams of Ruabon in the County of Denbigh yom[an] was a souldier in the service of his late Ma[jes]tie dureing the late warre vnder the comaund of Coll[onel] Ellice wherein he behaved himselfe faithfully to the hazard of his liefe & estate and that he hath ever sithence continued loyall that he is aged impotent and necessitous haveing litle to support himselfe and family Witnes o[u]r hands the 17th day of March in the 16th yeare of his Ma[jes]ties raigne that now is over England &c 1663.
