Theese are to Certifie that the Bearar heareof John Walmisley of Cumberall w[i]thin Whittingehame haith beene a true & faithfull subiect & was A Souldger vnder the Com[m]and of Captaine Standish & after his Captaine death vnder ye comaund of Captaine Roger Houghton and euer since haith beene loyell to his maiestie, for w[hi]ch hee haith suffered much by that meanes, hee is very Indigent and pore & haith a great Chardge & litle to mantayne his Chardge w[i]thall but his Carefull indust{ry} All w[hi]ch wee make bould to Certifie Humbly leaueing to your Considerac[i]on as a fitt person to resceaue a portion of suche moneyes as is to bee distributed accordinge to acte of parlament
