Whereas John Tampson of Bradninch in the s[ai]d Countie beinge one of the maimed souldiers has received formerly a penc[i]on graunted by his Ma[jes]tie towards his reliefe, And beinge warned to appeare at ye Session of Exeter w[hi]ch by reason of sickness could not come, Wherefore we whose names are subscribed haveinge made enquiry; doe find the s[ai]d John Tampson very [insufficient] much maimed (by reason of his late Ma[jes]ties service) to get his living, we therefore thinke it fit he should be continued to his former penc[i]on being 40 s. p[er] Annum together w[i]th his arrearages given under o[u]r hands the 9th day of January An[n]oq[ue] Dom[ini] 1667.
