To ye R[igh]t wor[shipfu]ll ye Justices of peace for the Countie of Denbigh

These are to certifie yt John Lee was a souldier in my Company in the Regim[en]t of S[i]r Jo[h]n Owens, that he is truelie loyall & indigent & hath neu[er] to ye best of my knowledge deserted his Ma[jes]t[y]s or his blessed fathers memory service dureing the late tyme of Rebellion & that he hath not a sufficient liveliehood of his owne: Wherefor I doe hereby recomend him as a fitt object fitt person fitt to receave such an yearely penc[i]on as his Ma[jes]t[y]s lawes haue p[ro]vided for such truely loyall & indigent souldiers given vnder my hand & seale ye 23th day of Aprill A[nn]o Caroli S[e]c[un]di Anglie &c xvo A[nn]o D[o]m[ini] 1663.
