Theis are to certifie That the bearer hereof John Hughes has faithfullie serued his late Ma[jes]tie of blessed memory in the late vnhappy warres vnder the Com[m]and of my father and my selfe for seuerall yeares; and ever since hath continued very Loyall, and is a fit p[er]son to receaue reliefe according to the late Acte of Parlam[en]t for reliefe of indigent and Loyall souldiers.
