Theese are to Certifie all to whome it may or shall Concerne That John Harris hath Actuallie serued As a priuate Souldier of Foote in ye Regim[en]t now belonginge to Col[one]l Ouerton in the Company vnder ye Com[m]aund of Captaine John Spooner deceased w[hi]ch Regim[en]t Col[one]l Lloyde & Col[one]l Harbert formerly had the Com[m]aund of vnder the Right hono[ura]ble the now Lord Gen[er]all Fairefaix in the seruice of the Parliam[en]t. And the said John Harris beeing wounded att Exeter in the said seruice haueing faithfullie obeyed All Com[m]aunds belonginge to his place Duringe the space of Two yeares and more, As may Appeare by the seu[er]all Musters And further was sent to the Sauoye Hospitall for preseruacon of his lief, by obteyning the benefitt of his Cure not yet p[er]fected w[hi]ch maketh him incapable of any seruice or meanes of liuelihood for the Reasons aforesaid: In testimonie whereof I haue herevnto sett my hand this Eight Day of Novemb[e]r A[nn]o Dom[ini] 1648.
