The certificate for John Gibson and Thomas Munnion of Sevenoaks, Kent, 19 April 1653

Whereas by Certificate under our hands of the 8:o of Aprill 1653: wee did Certifie that John Gibson and Thomas Munnion formerly maimed Souldiers in the states Service and pensioners by the order of parliam[en]t and Committee of this County were enhabitants of this p[ar]ish and Lyving men and beeing enformed that a p[ar]tie of the same p[ar]ish Frances Warren by the name of Frances Warren [sic.] now Marryed to Jeames the father of the said Thomas Munnion, which hath beene a woman of Scandalous life & evill Conversac[i]on out of malicious entent hath given enformac[i]on to the Contrarie of that our Certificate, wee doe therefore hereby humbly Certifie that that what was there in & by Certified was & is a reall truth and that the said p[ar]ties are Living men, and for any thing wee know are people of honest life & Conversac[i]on.

Wittnesse our hands this 19:o of Aprill 1653.
