To the ho[noura]ble the Com[missione]rs for Distributinge the moneys given By the Act of Parliament among the truely loyall and Indigent Comission officers:

{Th}ese are to Certifie that it doth appeare vnto vs that John Edwards of Wrexham in the Com[itatus] of Denbigh Serued a Sergeant of a foot Company vnder the Comand of Maior Francis Manley in Col[one]l William Wynne his regiment And that he is truely loyall and Indigent And hath neuer to the Best of our Knowledge or informac[i]on disserted his Ma[je]sties or his Blessed Fathers Seruice dureinge the late times of rebellion and vsurpac[i]on And that he hath not a Sufficient Livelyhood of his owne, nor Since his m[aje]sties returne hath obtayned any reward or imployment Sufficient for a Livelyhood to maintaine him and five Small Children Wherefore wee doe hereby recomend him a p[er]son Fitt to receaue a p[ro]p[or]c[i]on of all Such moneys as are to be by you distributed Accordinge to the Act of Parliament in that Behalf made, dated the 8th day of January 1663
