These are to certifie whomsoever that it may concerne That the Bearer hereof John Ederidge of Buntingford in the County of Hertf[ord] served our late King Charles the first of Glorious memory in the Garrison of Colchester in the quality of a Troop[er] under the Comaund of the Right hono[ura]ble Arthur Lord Capell where hee behaved himselfe manfully and received certaine wounds in that service to his pr[e]iudice & suffering even to this day As also that the aforesaid John Ederidge hath continued faithfull to the Interest of K[ingshi]pp ever since waiteing all opportunity by his p[er]sonall service to advance & assert the Cause of his pr[e]sent Ma[jes]tie our gratious King Charles whom God preserve.
