Wee whouse names are heare vnder written can testifie that John Dier of Stapleford in the County of Wilts[hire] did Faithfully serve his Ma[jes]ties Royal Father in the late wars two yeares as a Trooper vndeer Collonell Nevill & vnder Livetenenant [sic.] Colonall Boules and halfe a yeare Searvant vnder Captaine Winckfield; he still continuinge faithfull vnto his Royall Ma[jes]tie hee haveing a wife & two small Cidren [sic.] he hime selfe being very poore and much Disinabled by the said searvice in wittnesse wheareof wee have subscribed our names
