To the Justices of the peace of the County of Denbigh.

These are to certefie that the bearer hereof John Dauies of Brin y Vallen in the s[ai]d County was in the tyme of the late warrs a souldier in the regiment of S[i]r Thomas Salusbury and Company of Leift[enant] Coll[onel] John Roydon in the Service of his late Ma[jes]tie of blessed Memory and that hee did faithfully serue as a Souldier in seuerall servises vnder the s[ai]d com[m]aund havinge Euer since contynued truly loyall through all difficulties. Wittness our hands the sixt day of Feb[ruary] in the 14th yeare of his Ma[jes]ties raigne.
