To the Right wor[shi]pp[fu]ll the Justics of the peace at the Sessions of the peace holden at Linne for the County of Norff[olk]

At the request of the Bearer hereof John Belt wee Certifye that for Diuerse yeares past Accordinge to our obs[er]uac[i]on he hath behaued himselfe Ciuily & orderly in his Conversac[i]on, Industryous in his Callinge, well affected to the Gou[ern]m[en]t of the Com[m]onwealth And for many yeares together a soldyer in the Armyes of the s[ai]d Com[m]onwealth, and Accordinge to his Declared Judgem[en]t ready to Aduenture his live life & Fortunes in the s[er]uice thereof when Legally Called therevnto Dated the First Day of Aprill 1658.
