To the Wor[shi]pp[fu]ll his Maiesty’s Justices of the Peace for the County of Denbigh.

These are to certify your wor[shi]pps that John ap Richard of Ruabon Parish in the said County, did faithfully serue his late Mai[es]tie of Blessed memory vnder the Comand of Capt[ain] John Edwards in Col[one]l Robert Ellis his Regiment of Foote in which seruice he receaued seuerall wounds and maymes that have disabled him, from compassing an honest liuelyhood by his dayly labor as formerly to his greate greefe and trouble hauing haueing a wife and Children that he ought in Consciense to prouide for, and wee doe likewise certify that he neuer deserted his Maiestyes seruice during the late Rebellion butt hath continewed firme and Loyall in his resolutions and affections, and endeauord vpon all occassions as farr as in him lay his Mai[es]ties blessed Restauration all which we hereby humbly certify vnder our hands
