These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]p That the bearer hereof John ap Jo[h]n ap Rytherch of Garth Garmon hath verie faithfully served his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles ye first of blessed memorie in the late vnhappie warrs as a souldier vnder my Comaund, and that hee hath not deserted the said service but continued all alonge firme & loyall to the Royall cause as wittnesse my hand the 30th M[ar]che 1665
