To Mr Thomas Prichard Clark of the peace for the said County and trea[sure]r for the maymed soldiers

Wheras the bearer Jane Prince  wyd of Christionyth in the said County wyddow is wyddowe to William Prince Carpenter deceased who during the late warrs did faithfull and eminent seruice in Holt Castle where he remayned for diuers years and at last rec[eive]d his death wound wherof he shortly after dyed leauing his said wyddowe and fowre small Children yett liuing without any Estate to mayntayne them, what he had, being taken away by the enemy. Theise are therfore to require you by vertue of An Act of this present Parl[iamen]t in that behalf made for the releef of poore maymed officers {illegible}
