Theise are to Certifie that Hugh Thomas of Llansilin in the said County was a soldier vnd[e]r my Com[m]and in the seruice of his late Ma[jes]ty of euer blessed memory during the late wars that to the best of my knowledge or information he hath continued faithfull to his trust and hath not deserted the same by taking vp arms ag[ain]st his said late Ma[jes]ty or his Ma[jes]ty that now is, that he was wounded in the said wars, That he is become old impotent and Indigent not hauing any competent subsistence to support him & his family all w[hi]ch I referre to the fauourable consideration of the Justices of peace of this County. Dat[ed] vnd[e]r my hand & seale the 8th day of Sep[tember] 1666

Mr Prichard. I pray enter this poore man in the place of my Cosen Humpherey Lloyds soldier who is dead, I know not his name but my Cosen Lloyd will tell you, and this fellow shal be content w[i]th the pension after this next quarter being my Cosen Lloyd desires that for this quarter it may goe to ye widdowe of his soldier but if the pension be aboue 20 s. yearely. I would haue this man haue onely 20 s. yearly ye rest to be applyed some other way as shal be thought fitt
