Wee the seu[er]all p[ar]ishion[e]rs & Inhabitants of the parish of Bodvarry in the County of Denbigh doe hereby Certifie the truth of o[u]r knowledge that this poore man the bearer hereof Hugh Parry beefore these vnhappie warrs was a shoomaker by trade tooke Armes for his ma[jes]ties late deceased of happie memorie vnder the Command of Captayne Lloyd of plas Engian and Continued so Faythfully and Constantly in All service & Command in that behalfe vntill the deliu[er]ie of Chester where hee was Corporall of a p[ar]tie of Foote vnder the Command of the afores[ai]d And there then receued seu[er]all wounds whereby he was Impou[er]ished & both disfurnished of stocke to maynteyne his trade And Alltogether disabled to worke for his living or releefe All w[hi]ch wee refer to the Charitable Consideration of them whome it may Concerne in this behalfe and humbly take leave & rest.
