The certificate for Hugh Giles of King’s Sutton, Northamptonshire, Easter 1668

These are to certify all whome it may concerne that Hugh Giles of King Sutton hath ben formerly a Souldier in the Kings Army a long time, being listed under the Lord of Northampton the Easter Tuesday after Edgehill fight, and so continued ‘till the end of the warres by reason of which he is very much impoverished, therefore we desire that he may receiue his pension money as formerly he hath received.
