These are to Certifie All whom it doth or may concerne That Hugh ap Thomas of Rhiwlas in the County of Denbigh labourer hath served his late Ma[jest]ie Charles the first in the late vnhappie wars for the space of three yeares & vpwards As a com[m]on souldier vnder the Comaund of Captaine Hugh Moris & afterwards of Major [illegible] Francis Manley in the Regiment of Col[one]l William Wynne dated the third day of January in the xixth yeare of the Raigne of our Sou[er]aigne Lord Charles the Second &c Anno Domini 1667
