These are to certify that the Bearer hereof Hugh ap Evan of the p[ar]ish of Llangernew in the County of Denbigh did truely & faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]ty Kyng Charles the first of famous memory in the regiment of Col[one]l Hugh Wynn & vnder my Com[m]and & continued all along loyall to his s[ai]d Ma[jes]ty & his majesty that now is, as wittnesse my hand this 28th day of Septemb[e]r 1675.
