To the Right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll the Justices of the Peace and all others whom these shall or may Concerne

Wee whose names are herevnder subscribed Inhabitants of Honiton doe Certifie that the bearer hereof Henry Osement of Honiton, hath alwayes been, and still is a man of Loyall Principalls & beares a good affecc[i]on to the Gouernement, and borne Armes for the King against Plymouth, and there was wounded and taken prisoner and lay in Prison 16 Weekes till he was Exchanged. Giuen vnder our hands at Honiton the 9th day of January 1683

<The said Hen[ry] Osement being Ancient & decreeped humbly prayes that he may be admitted to be one of his Ma[jes]ties Pention[e]rs>
