These are to certifie That the bearer hereof Henry Jo[h]n ap W[illia]m of Llangernew did truely and faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]tie kinge Charles the first of famous memory vnder the Comaund of Col[one]l William Wyne till the s[ai]d Col[one]l was slayne att Wem and afterward served his s[ai]d Ma[jes]tie in the office of an Ensigne in the Regiment of Col[one]l Hugh Wyne & vnder the my Comaund being lievtena[n]t then As wittnes my hand date the 24th day of Aprill 1682.
