Decimo Octauo die Octobr Anno R[egni]R[egis] Caroli S[e]c[un]di Angliae &c decimo quarto 1662

These may be to Certiffie that Henry Barton of Larbricke Troop[er] vnder the Com[m]and of Captayne George Westby & that he is truly loyall & indigent & hath neuer to the best of o[u]r knowledge or Informac[i]on deserted his ma[jes]ties or his blessed fathers seruice dureinge the Late tymes of Rebellion & vsurpac[i]on, And that he hath noe sufficient Liuelyhood of his owne nor had since his ma[jes]ties Retourne obtayned any Reward office or Imploym[en]t sufficient for a liuely hood wherefore wee whose names are subscribed doe hereby Recommend him to yo[u]r Considerac[i]ons desireinge he may obtayine the benefit of the Late Act entituled an Act for the Reliefe of poore maymed Officers & souldiers who haue faithfully serued his Ma[jes]tie & his Royall father in the Late warrs
