These are to Certify all whom it {may} Concerne, yt Gregory Maior being {a} sould[ie]r in my Regim[en]t since ye first Comming into Scotland in which tyme he hath Contracted many wounds, w[hi]ch together w[i]th age hath made him altogether vnserviceable. I do therfore desire he may haue a Certificate to get into some Hospitall. Dat[ed] Aberd[een] Jan[ua]ry 19th [16]52.
