Whereas the bearer hereof George Clarke formerly under my command disbanded, these {ar}e therefore to require al{l} whom these may concerne to suffer the said bearer to passe to the place of his habitation being at [illegible] Bocking fre{e} & without lett or molestation, and further I doe require all Mayors and Baliffes & constables to relieue him upon his Journey homewards giuen Vnder my hand and seale; from Burnt Iland the 3th of December 1652
