Theise are to certify all manner of persons to whom theise p[rese]nts shall come or in anie wise concerne, that Thomas Hughson late of Macclesfield in the s[ai]d Countie Shoomaker deceased, being a Trooper in S[i]r W[illia]m Fairefaxes Regim[en]t vnder ye Com[man]d of Capt[ain] Thomas Talbot was slaine at Yorke battell, and left Frances Hughson his daughter an Infant destitute of Meanes, yt ye s[ai]d Frances is tender eyed and dimme sighted and otherwise infirme by reason of ye kings evill and ye small poxe when she was an Infant, and so vnable to do anie thing towards her meintenance, w[hi]ch hitherto she hath had at ye finding of Elene Clearke her grandmother lately deceased, And that she is a fit Object of Chr[istia]n charitie: In witnes wherof wee have herevnto subscribed o[u]r names on ye 23th daie of Aprill 1655.
